Meals on Wheels is the only large scale provider of low priced home-delivered meals in Buncombe County.
Meals on Wheels of Buncombe County has provided a nutritionally balanced hot lunch every weekday to those
county residents "unable to provide for themselves." Today, MOW delivers to an average of 500 persons 251
days per year.

Provides counseling and support groups for families who are grieving over the death or imminent loss of a loved
one. Services include home visitation, support groups, individual school-based counseling, grief camp, and
relevant informative publications.
Goodwill is many things. We are a donor-driven agency. We are a retailer. We are a contract services operation
and a major recycler of textiles. But most importantly, we are a leader in workforce development services.
The Education Coalition is an alliance of two public school systems and 20 youth-serving nonprofit
organizations working together to close the achievement gaps and improve the graduation rates in our
public schools. The strength of the Education Coalition lies in its ability to reduce the duplication of
services, standardize "best practices" for tutoring and mentoring, and support its member agencies and
the schools.

Provides free screenings for glaucoma, diabetes, and vision; recycles used eyeglasses; and provides eye
