Why be a foster parent?
Children need you.  Foster Parenting gives you a unique opportunity to help positively
impact the lives of a child and/or families. We have children and families that need
assistance and with your help they can accomplish miraculous things. They are searching
for you!
How do I become a foster parent?
If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, call us or email us.  We will talk with you
about the requirements.  We will send you an application and we'll come talk with you or
you can come in to visit with us.

How is therapeutic foster care different then traditional
foster care?
In addition to needing a safe home children placed in therapeutic foster care have
additional special needs.  Many of our children have behavioral problems, special medical
needs or physical conditions. Also, many therapeutic foster children are older kids who
need you more.
What are the requirements for becoming a foster parent?
You must complete 30 hours of  training. There is now an additional 10 hours of training
for therapeutic parents.  This training gives you the tools to decide if foster parenting is
right for you and your family.  There is additional training that will be provided by the
agency to help you maintain your status as a therapeutic foster parent such as first aid
and CPR.
What are the rewards of becoming a foster parent?
By becoming a foster parent  you will be  given a unique opportunity to make a difference
in a child's life.  You will play an important role in their recovery and growth.  As a foster
parent you are not on your own.  In addition to support from our agency,  you will receive
financial compensation for your time and investment in a child's life. The rewards are
eternal.
